Malibu Coast FIVE Red Wine

This is Todd’s favorite wine. It combines his memories of when he fell in love with Cabernet Sauvignon, with the reason he never left Southern California.

A delicious blend of Malibu Coast Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc estate fruit. Characteristics of Malibu Coast Red Wines consist of a full bouquet on the nose with red fruits showing strongly. Medium finish with faint but satisfying hints of chocolate and cacao show- ing through. Extremely flavorful. Medium to medium-plus tannins. Pairs well with red meat, pasta...and chocolate! If you needed a steak dinner wine, this is your pick. This wine has everything you need to make the evening special.

When you swirl this glass of wine, notice the bright red cherry, red currant, rhubarb and raspberry. Hints of beef jerky, strawberry balsamic vinegar, and white and black cracked pepper. On the palate, it’s rich and tannic. It is silky and warm drying your mouth just enough to ask you for another sip.

2018 Malibu Coast FIVE Red Wine, Miracle Vineyard

Winemaker Notes:

Our 2018 Malibu Coast FIVE Red Wine is our
first vintage producing this fabulous Bordeaux-inspired red blend. Fresh and bright red berry
notes are accompanied by black currant and
dried fig on the nose. Smell the sweetness of
Malibu with puckering red cherries and the
essence of Bordeaux with tobacco, and damp
Earth. On the palate this wine is not overly heavy
or acidic with a beautiful roundness, a kiss of oak
and a finish leaving you wanting more. Great by
itself, or with a ribeye steak, red sauce pasta or a
fabulous aged cheddar cheese. Enjoy now or
cellar for up to 10 years.
